Michael Thomas Kemper, 40, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2016. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 23, 1976 to Michael and Rose Kemper. He was an avid car enthusiast who enjoyed building and drag racing cars. Over the years Michael overcame many obstacles, including receiving a double lung transplant, during his battle with Scleroderma. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
Michael is survived by his parents, Michael G. and Rose Kemper; siblings, Julie Kemper (Rick Vinson) and Maria Kemper; a niece, Ashley Bourland; a nephew, Brett Bourland; dear supportive friend, Matt Schultz; and a host of other family members and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Rd, Louisville, KY 40272 with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 8:00 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. on Thursday both at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Hwy.
