Michael W. Jones

Michael W. Jones, 71, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Mike retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service. After retirement, he enjoyed cutting his many acres of grass on his property, riding his zero-turn, then spending his evenings sitting on the front porch admiring his work. Mike also loved to ride on the back-roads in his convertibles with the top down and the sun on his head.

He was born on October 15, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Paul E. Jones and Beatrice (Metcalf) McRae. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Stephen P. Jones.

Mike is survived by his loving wife of nearly 44 years, Brenda Jones; son, Michael P. (Hannah) Jones; son, Lee E. (Monica) Jones; daughter, Amy L. (Jason) Staraitis; grandchildren, Colin, Gabe, Juno, Abby, Milly, and Joe Jo.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Evans Landing Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
