Michael Guelda, 62, of Louisville, KY passed away on March 29, 2014. Michael was a proud Marine Corps veteran and a member of the VFW in Carrollton, KY. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an excellent cook.
Michael was born on November 20, 1951, in Louisville, KY to the late Joseph and Elanora (Ruckriegel) Guelda. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Paul, Edward (Pat), and Joe Guelda.
Michael is survived by four children, Laura Trent, Tiffany Grauel, Carole Guelda Kiefer, and Michael Guelda Jr.; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Taylor, Ian, Regan, and Avery; four sisters, Mary Gay (Jack), Martha Ray (Joe), Susan Millay (Harold), and Paulette Pate; and three brothers, John Guelda (Betty), Charles Guelda (Shirley), and Robert Guelda.
Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Incarnation Catholic Church (2229 Lower Hunters Trace, Louisville, KY 40216) with burial to follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central (2501 North Dixie Boulevard, Radcliff, KY 40160)
