Michael Anthony Grissett

Michael Anthony "Mike" Grissett, Sr., 49, passed away on August 27, 2017. He was a husband, father and grandfather who loved his family very much.
One of the many characteristics his family and friends will miss most was his sense of humor. Mike previously worked as a welder for Kentucky Frame and Axle, Jaggers and Affordable Muffler.
Mike is survived by his wife, Lurinda Grissett, children, Erica (Jeff) Forrest, Michael Anthony (Jessica) Grissett, Jr., Emily Mae Grissett and John Daniel Grissett; grandchildren, Kasey Dawn, Abigail Grace and Ethan Daniel; father, Charles (Carol) Grissett, Sr.; mother, Joyce (Vern Weird) Grissett: siblings, Susan Hargrove, Charles Grissett, Jr., Monica Burt, Calista (Jimmy) Robey and Sylvia (Johnny) Muncy; 6 nephews; 10 nieces; 14 great-nephews and 10 great nieces.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 31, 2017, at Newcomer Funerals, Cremation and Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 12pm-8pm. A celebration of Mike's life will be held Friday, September 1, 2017, at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home beginning at 1pm.
Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
