Michael Anthony Fenley

Michael Anthony Fenley, 63, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2023. Mike was an outgoing man with a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to make people smile and laugh. Mike graduated from Jesse Stuart High School in 1977, where he was the class clown. Over the years, he actively kept in touch with his former classmates. Mike enjoyed golfing with his brothers, boating, and traveling. Later in his career, he became a traveling nurse, which allowed him to travel the country while taking care of others. Mike will be remembered most for his compassion, his outspokenness, and the many smiles he brought to those who knew him.

He was born on June 13, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Leonard and Mary (Maddox) Fenley. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Joseph and Mary Etta Fenley.

Mike is survived by his son, David Michael Fenley; fiancée, Natalie Ferrill; brothers, Joe (Linda) Fenley, Charles (Lorna) Fenley, and Darrell (Deborah) Fenley; sister, Michele (Dennis) Welscher; and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Mike's memory be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation - KY/WV Chapter (1941 Bishops Lane, Louisville, KY 40218).
