Michael "Mikie" Dooley, 58, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Mikie never met a stranger and was loved by everyone he met. He was a firearms expert, enjoyed sharing information with everybody and was a true patriot. He was a very good artist. He always loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.

He was born on September 4, 1965 in Akron, Ohio to Michael and Jane (Vardeman) Dooley. He is preceded in death by his Grandparents George and Ollie Dooley & Frank and Effie Vardeman.

Michael is survived by his loving family, Father, Michael Joseph Dooley and Mother, Martha Jane Dooley; Daughters, Kaitlin (Chris Major) Dooley and Erica (Justin) Allen; Grandchildren, Autumn, Tierney, Eli, Frankie, Maya, Theo, and Jaxie; Brother, Daniel (Becky) Dooley; Nephews, Jordan (Ara) and Lucas; Great-Nieces, Braelynn and Harper, as well as a host of aunts, uncle, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

The family requests that contributions in Michael's memory be made to St. Jude.
