Michael Glenn Barton

Michael Glenn Barton, 79, of Salem, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, having served during the Vietnam War. Michael enjoyed his 25 year career as an auto mechanic and always tried to excel in anything that he did.

He was born on January 29, 1945 in Greenville, Texas to Donald and Faye (Johnson) Barton. Michael is survived by his wife of 47 years, Katrina King. And his sons, Michael Barton II and his wife, Dawn, Rhett McDaniel and his wife, Janan; granddaughters, Annika Barton and her wife, Nicole, Kristina Barton; and great-grandsons, Elijah, Elliot, Ezra and Edmond.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. A celebration of Michael's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home with burial and military honors to follow at Horner's Chapel Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
