Melvin Condra

Melvin R. Condra, 59, of Palmyra, Indiana passed away on October 19, 2011. Melvin worked at Fire King in New Albany for 33 years. He was a great cook who had developed, made and sold "Hot's" hot sauce and was a very talented musician. Melvin also was a proud member of the Sons of American Legion and VFW.

Melvin was born on November 1, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana to the late John and Sarah (Williams) Condra.

He is survived by his son, Jason Condra of Palmyra; daughters, Angela Harley (Frankie) of Floyds Knobs, Nanny Cambron (Joey) of Greenville, Indiana, and Missy Oxford of New Albany; sisters, Donna Volpert and Rebecca Payne, both of New Albany; grandchildren, Skyler Condra, Emily and Kattie Cambron, K. K. Harley, Tiffany Crawford, and Lee and Richie Saltsgaver.

Cremation was chosen following Melvin's wishes, and his Memorial Visitation will be from 11 AM to 6 PM on Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany).
