Melesa Diann Mcdaniel

Melesa Diann McDaniel was born on August 23, 1958, she went to her eternal rest on Monday, September 26, 2022, peacefully in her home. She attended Shawnee High School. Melesa was a woman of faith who accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior at an early age at Corinthian Baptist Church. She sang in the youth choir and served on the usher board. Melesa was an RN, who loved to help others. She loved to create gatherings just to bring the family together and she was a comedian, who could make you laugh in her presence. She enjoyed line dancing and music, and she was a worshipper. Melesa enjoyed having a good time with her friends and family. She served in the United States Army Reserves. She was also a member of Eastern Star. Melesa was a devoted member of St. Stephen Baptist Church; she served on the deacon board and was very active in her Sunday School class "Warriors of the Word".

She was preceded in death by her parents George T. McDaniel Sr & Rose Ella McDaniel and her brother, George T. McDaniel Jr and one grandson, Kayson McDaniel.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, sons Michael McDaniel, Antjuan Groves, Ray Gaston, and daughter, Carla Gaston; siblings, Bobby, (Lavenia) McDaniel Sr., Kenneth, (Sandra) McDaniel, Reginald, (Tammie) McDaniel Sr., and Sita, (Darnell) Elliott; 8 grandsons and 3 granddaughters along with a host of nieces and nephews and close friends.

A memorial gathering will be Saturday, October 8, 2022, at St. Stephen Baptist Church, 1018 S. 15th Street, Louisville, KY 40212, from 11am-1pm with a celebration of Melesa's life beginning at 1pm.
