Mccormick Edward

Edward L. McCormick, 63, A ray of God's light entered into our Lord's presence on Sunday morning. A U.S. Army Veteran, who served our country in the Vietnam War. A dedicated employee of Atlas Machine & Supply in Louisville.

The beloved son to the late Ned and Mary Alma (Whalen) McCormick. Preceded in death by his son, Edward L. McCormick, Jr., and brother, Paul McCormick.

Survived by his devoted wife, Brenda G. (Clemons) McCormick & cherished by all his wife's family members; daughters, Tonya McCormick and Tara Stefanelli (Mike); sisters, Margaret Haddox, Delores Ward (James), and Rosemary Rohe; brother, Charles McCormick (Jean); grandchildren, Kathy, Josh, Kayla, Kyle, and Kaylynn; great grandchildren, Andrew and Kierra; special niece, Charlene House; and best friend, Jackie Wright.

Heartfelt thanks to his friends at Atlas, fellow pool players at Diamond's, and to the kind & dedicated staff at the VA.

Visitation from 11 AM to 8 PM, Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and 9 to 11 AM on Thursday, July 28 at Shawnee Baptist Church (2214 Bank Street, Louisville). His Funeral Service, 11 AM at the church & buried with honor at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
