Maximillian- Nikolai Bedell

August 22, 1990 — July 1, 2022

Maximillian-Nikolai "Max" Bedell passed away in Louisville, KY at Baptist Health Louisville Hospital on July 1, 2022. He was born August 22, 1990, in Bitburg, Germany to his loving parents Douglas G. Bedell and Sibylle (Lorang) Bedell.

"I have such a positive look on life now a days and I can honestly say just from that it's made things so much better. I'm so happy that I never give up on myself, if I can give any advice to anyone it's to stay positive and live life with a smile on your face no matter what you are going through, you can overcome anything with a little will power."

Written by Maximillian-Nikolai Bedell, February 28, 2018

Max had demons from his past that he could not come to terms with or conquer. He tried to battle his demons with the use of drugs. Those drugs turned out to be the biggest demon of all. He suffered through physical and mental anguish beyond his control. The pain and struggle of daily life was too much for him to bear. His chosen friends and lifestyle isolated him from the ones who sincerely loved him. The drugs had control of Max. Unfortunately, his young life was taken by the drugs he sought out to free him of his daily pain. His demons no longer haunt him, can no longer harm him. He is at peace now and no longer struggles with those demons that tormented him daily.

Max's smile and infectious laugh coupled with his pale blue eyes could light up a room and the thought of him still does. He was so handsome and modest about that fact. He was very inquisitive and highly intelligent with knowledge and skills about so many things for someone so young. Electrician, carpenter, iron worker, heavy equipment operator; there wasn't anything he couldn't do or at least try. He loved his parents, brother, sisters and all his extended family. He loved his children most of all, with all his heart. Max was athletic. He loved playing baseball, football, and soccer in his younger years. He was a very good pool player and thoroughly enjoyed miniature golf with family. Max enjoyed music and watching you tube. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. For all his faults, Max was a caring, loving person who would do anything to protect family and friends. He is already agonizingly missed. Max cannot hear us now, but he will always be with us because that is the impact he had on everyone he met. Max's passing is inconsolably bittersweet, how we ache to have him with us, yet he no longer fights the pain. Our beloved Max is finally at peace.

He is survived by his loved children, Kaisen Lemmon, Laila Hart and Amaryllis Emily-Marie Bedell; mother, Sibylle (Lorang) Bedell; father, Douglas G. Bedell; step mother, Denise Bedell; his brother and sisters, Benjamin-Dominic Bedell, Melissa-Sabrina Bedell and Elisabeth-Corinne Bedell; step brothers, Michael and Nicholas King; step sister, Alexandra King, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved with all his heart.
