Max C. Swain

Max C. Swain (of Cleveland, OH) passed away on July 16, 2024, in Louisville, KY. 

Max was 65 years old and the eldest son of Jack Swain and Cecila Akers (both deceased). Brother to Jax (Michelle), Marx (deceased), Maxine (Joseph Soto), Alexis (Juan Soto) and Jason (deceased). Step brother to Thomas Ody (deceased), Mark Ody (Tammy), Carrie Cola (deceased), and stepson of Shirley Ody (deceased). 

Max is survived by his wife Tammie Swain. Three daughters: Candice Henry (Chad), Toni Harrod (Scott), and Cindi Coates (Josh); Two Stepchildren: Ashley Rosenfeld and Tyler Martin, along with 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Max served in the United States Navy from 1975 – 1981. He also coached for the West Denison Comanches from 1990 – 1999. Max worked 28 years for the International Paper Company (xpedx) as a Logistics Manager.

Max will be cremated and a family service will be held at a later time in Cleveland, OH.
