Maurice Brooks
Maurice J. Brooks, 84, of Austin, Indiana passed away on August 24, 2011. Maurice was an army veteran of WWII. From his service overseas, he received the Asiatic Pacific Theater Ribbon Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal from Japan. He retired from the Eaton Corporation where he worked in the tool and die department.
Maurice was born on March 4, 1927 in Seymour, Indiana to the late Maurice G. and Lula P. (Carpenter) Brooks. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lois C. Brooks. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 10 AM to 11 AM at Mountain Grove Cemetery in Henryville, Indiana. A Graveside Service will take place at 11 AM with military honors and burial to follow.
Contributions in Maurice's memory may be made to the Hilltop Pentecostal Church (3357 W. County Road 390 North, Brownstown, IN 47220).
