Maureen V. (Smith) Lamb , 77, passed away on August 18, 2013. She attended Pfrimmer's Chapel UMC in Corydon. Maureen was talented with her needlework, knitting and crafts. The most important part of her life, however, was taking care of all those who were important to her.
Maureen was born on August 9, 1936 in Coventry, England to the late Ernest and Vera (Hemmings) Smith. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Arthur R. "The Englishman" Lamb.
She is survived by her daughters, Roma J. Lamb, Beverley Gooselaw (Don Goecke); sisters, Pauline DePrez, Brenda Barrett (Barney); granddaughter and grandson, Jessica and PJ Walter; great-granddaughters, Madelynne and Annabelle Walter. She will be deeply missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Pfrimmer's Chapel UMC (505 Pfrimmer's Chapel Road NE, Corydon, IN 47112). Cremation was chosen following Maureen's wishes.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Wayside Christian Mission (432 E. Jefferson Street, Louisville KY 40202).
