Mattie Belle Hunter, 87, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
She was born on June 29, 1936 in New Albany, Indiana to the late William Hunter and Mattie Thompson Hunter. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Wyetta Hunter; and siblings, Wilbert, Mable, Thelma, Lula "Alberta", Ernest, and William "June".
Mattie is survived by her granddaughter, Lea Roberts; great-grandchildren, Kristen and Cameron; great-great-grandchildren, Maurice Jr. and Malea; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, December 29, 2023 at Howard Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (1715 E Market St, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 pm on Friday, at the church with burial at Westhaven Cemetery in New Albany.
