Matthew Scott Willard

Matthew Scott Willard, age 19 of Louisville, went to be with his heavenly family on Thursday, March 14, 2013. He was a young man whose life was full of adventure and excitement. Everyone who knew Matt would agree that he had a great heart with tons of ambition. He attended college at ITT Technical Institute, where he was completing his degree in Drafting and Design and was on the Deans List. At the same time he was working a full-time job at Denios in their shipping and receiving department. He is awaited for in Heaven by his loving mother, Melissa Riggs Willard; papaw, William Riggs; grandfathers, Glen Willard and Randell Booker.

Matt is survived by his father, Eric Willard; brother, Zachory Willard; grandmother, Vicki Willard; great-grandparents, Margaret and "JW" Edlin, all of Louisville; grandmother, Diana Booker; aunt Tiffany Franklin (Mike); uncle, Shannon Riggs (Anna), all of Hodgenville; aunt, April Ayers (Dwayne) of Columbia, S.C.; aunt Brenda Rollins of Cape Coral, FL; as well as many cousins, other family members and close friends.

Visitation will be from 10:30 am until 6pm Monday, March 18, 2013, with funeral ceremony to follow at 6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville.

Matthew had a special way of making people smile while always having a great time. He will truly be missed by many.
