Matthew Scott Holland

Matthew Scott Holland, 25, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021. Matthew was known as a "gamer" and "gear head" and was a skilled mechanic who worked in the surrounding area. He was a Boy Scout of America and enjoyed anything outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and sport shooting with his family. He will be remembered as someone who was full of kindness that had so much love for his family and friends.

He was born on September 27, 1995 in New Albany, Indiana to Scott and Elaina (Sherlock) Holland.

Along with his loving parents, Matthew is survived by his best friend and younger brother, Aaron Holland; grandparents, Charles and Connie Holland and Harold and Audrey Sherlock; 2 uncles; 1 aunt; 6 cousins; and numerous extended family members, co-workers, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Culbertson Baptist Church (4007 Grant Line Rd, New Albany, IN 47150). Cremation was chosen according to the family's wishes.

The family requests that contributions in Matthew's memory be made to the family in care of Scott and Elaina Holland, the New Albany-Floyd Co. Animal Shelter (215 W Market St, New Albany, IN 47150), or LifeSpring Health ( 460 Spring St, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
