Matthew Davidson

Matthew Joseph Davidson, born October 31, 1975, went home to our Lord and Saviour on July 7, 2012. Matthew was a tremendously loved husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, uncle and brother-in-law. He will be missed by hundreds, if not thousands who had the honor of calling him friend.

Left behind to rejoice in the promise of a future reunion are his wife Ashley(McDonald), sons, Lane (11), Hayes (5) and daughter Lila (2), parents, Ronald and Lynette Davidson, brother Luke and wife Kathleen, grandmother Meralyn Taylor, mother and father-in-law Valerie and Mark McDonald. Preceeded by grandparents Joseph and Doris Davidson and Eugene Harley Class, and step grand-father Robert L. Taylor.

Matthew gave his life to Christ through baptism at the age of 8 and has been a faithful servant since. He was a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University and was the Worship Minister at Southeast Christian Church Oldham County Campus. Matthew was this and so much more than the pages of this paper could contain.

2 Timothy 4:6-8

… my life an offering on God's altar. This is the only race worth running. I've run hard right to the finish, believed all the way. All that's left now is the shouting—God's applause! Depend on it, he's an honest judge. He'll do right not only by me, but by everyone eager for his coming.

Funeral ceremony will be held Thursday, July, 12, 2012 at 11:00 am in the sanctuary at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Pkwy, Louisville, KY 40243, with private burial.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Fireside Room at Southeast Christian as well as Wednesday from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Services are entrusted to Newcomer Funeral Home in Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to a fund for the family. Make checks payable to Southeast Christian Church and place Benevolence Fund Davidson Family in the memo line.
