Matthew Robert Bailey

Matthew Robert Bailey, age 51, succumbed to the ravages of pancreatic cancer on November 23, 2023. A graduate of Eastern High School and JCTC, he was employed for many years in the food service industry. His main wish and hobby, however, was to be the drummer in a famous band. With a strong streak of independence, he lived his life his way.
Matt was preceded in death by his father, Roger Alan Bailey; his mother, Kathryn Bailey Mapes; and his aunt, Judith O. Milliken.
Matt is survived by his brothers, Alan (Rebecca) and Marcus; his step father, William H. Mapes; and two step-siblings; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services will be private and his ashes will be interred next to his Mother and Father.
