Funeral Mass for Mary V. Caradonna Falkenstein, 99, former resident of Clarksville, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Clarksville, with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, New Albany. She died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Friendship Manor Nursing Home in PeeWee Valley, Ky.
She was a life-long member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. She was born Oct. 8, 1913 in Jeffersontown, Ky. to the late Anthony and Catherine Kuhn Caradonna.
She has been cared for by her granddaughter over the last several years, Roberta Steutermann and her husband, Karl. She is also survived by her son, Robert Falkenstein; sister, Margaret Lori and her husband, Hilson; sister-in-laws, Lois and Virginia Caradonna; daughter-in-law, Jane Falkenstein; and beloved great-grandson, Nicholas Steuterman.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James "Bud" Falkenstein, and son, Anthony "Tony" Falkenstein.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 7, at Newcomer Funeral Home, New Albany.
Memorial contributions may be made to Vista Care, 391 Quartermaster Court, Jeffersonville, IN 47130.
