Mary Theresa(Korte) Klotz

Mary T. (Korte) Klotz, 84, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012. She was a life-long member at St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Albany where she was active in the Altar Society and Legion of Mary. Mary was also a member of the Merry Makers Square Dancing Club.

Mary was born on May 6, 1928 in Charlestown, Indiana to the late Anthony O. and Willhemina M. (Goebel) Korte. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Klotz; siblings, John and Elizabeth Korte.

She is survived by her daughters, Irene Schmidt, Rose Ann Klotz, Mary Applegate (Devon), Jeanie Samuel, Kathy Dezern (Tim); siblings, Tony Korte (Nancy), Margaret Shaffer, Charles Korte, Helen Atkins, Alma Schneller, Raymond Korte (Trish); grandchildren, Amy King (Shawn), Kerry Sherlock, Brandy Hrabal (Jared), Maggie Wild (Billy), Jennifer Dezern, Nick Dezern, Hannah Samuel; 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 PM on Monday, September 10, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) with a Prayer Service taking place at 4 PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 E. Eighth Street, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
