Mary Rothfuss Summers

Mary Rothfuss Summers, 69, passed away on November 2, 2013. She attended Pleasure Ridge High School and was a 4-H member. She had a great love of horses and enjoyed horseback riding. One of Mary's greatest loves was bowling. She was a member of many leagues at Dixie Bowl and even scored a 290 on a couple of games. She enjoyed going on day trips with Karen, her daughter and her son, James to Horseshoe Casino were she always seen to have luck. Her hobbies, included crocheting, knitting and drawing. She was an avid crossword solver and working jigsaw puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Mildred Prior; son, Kenny Prior and granddaughter, Jessica Griffin.

She is survived by her children; Karen Lyndel (Jacksonville, FL), James Rothfuss (Springfield, MO), Paula Rothfuss (Louisville, KY), Eric Rothfuss (Louisville, KY); grandchildren, Christopher Rothfuss (Louisville, KY) and Wade Rothfuss (Louisville, KY).

Cremation was chosen following Mary's wishes. Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville) was entrusted with Mary's Care.
