Mary Evelyn (Downs) Owsley, 77, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024.
Mary made friends in the many chapters of her life. She was blessed to have high school friends that stayed close throughout the years, and following along her side during her life journeys.
Mary had a long career at Lifespring as a purchasing director. She always said she had the perfect job because she loved shopping. Many of her co-workers became cherished friends, and she sill meets with her "Lifespring Lunch Bunch" regularly.
She enjoyed being socially active. Some of her favorite activities were camping, gardening, doing arts & crafts, listening to live country music, dining with friends, spending time with her grandchildren, playing games of all kinds, and traveling to see new places with family and friends.
She was born on December 2, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Lawrence Downs and Margaret Roudenbush Downs. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel N. Owsley; siblings, Marlene, Sandy, and Larry.
Mary is survived by her children, Daniel N. (Kelly) Owsley II and Jennifer M. Owsley; and grandchildren, Tess Owsley, Caroline Owsley and Juliana Johnson.
Cremation was chosen following Mary's wishes. Mary's Celebration of Life will be from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Mansion 1886 (904 E Main St, New Albany, IN 47150). Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) was entrusted with her care.
