Mary Myers

Mary Joyce Myers, born August 15, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky, also known as "Joy, Moma and Nana" went home on Christmas Day. Joy is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Owen Sturgeon, father, Clell Sturgeon and brother, Raymond Sturgeon, mother in law, Wanda Elizabeth Myers and Maime Louise Ottinger.

Joy is survived by her husband of twenty eight years, Ray Myers, Jr. daughter, Kas Deddens son, Ves Smith (Robin) step daughter, Lana Beth Lundy (Greg) step son, James Ray Myers grandchildren, Duke Smith (Rachel), Jordan Smith , Tate Deddens, James B. Lundy and Nico Aulenbach, great grandchildren; Audrey, Brissa and Chloe, a sister, Beverly Bohr and niece, Dedra Keurzi

Joy absolutely loved children, was an avid gardener, an enthusiastic Scrabble player, and a champion as a friend. She possessed a zest for life, a spunky nature, and a humor that blessed all who knew her.

Visitation will be Saturday December 28, 2013 from 11am to 2pm with service to follow at 2pm at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,Ky 40243
