Mary Denton Mitcham

Mary Denton Mitcham , 91, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. Mary was a devoted member and loved going to Chapel Park Baptist Church. Where she sang in the choir and volunteered for many church events. Mary was a very outgoing and outspoken individual, who never met a stranger, and would always lend the helping hand. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was born on October 18, 1930 in Breckinridge County, Kentucky to Elby and Lottie (Whitworth) Board. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, J.C. Mitcham, Sons, Joseph Mitcham, and Gary Mitcham, Daughter, Patricia Mitcham, Sisters, Helen Milburn, Lena Board, and Linda Nix, Brother, William Board.

Mary is survived by her Daughter, Kimberly Mitcham, Son, James Mitcham, Brother, Charles Board, Granddaughter, Tiffany Mitcham. Mary also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow at Custer Cemetery in Breckinridge County.
