Mary Louise Meeks

Mary Louise (Beck) Meeks, 72, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 with family at her side. She was a former nurse's aide and a member of VFW Post 3281 Auxiliary. As a long-time member of the Sparkles & Spurs Dance Group, she loved to line dance. Mary's jovial nature made her beloved by all who knew her. She will also be dearly missed by her devoted and loving dog, Honeybrown.

Mary was born on August 10, 1937 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Louis E. and Mary E. (Herbst) Beck. She is also preceded in death by her husband, William L. Meeks.

She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Moreillon and her husband, Duane of Jeffersonville and Marie Scantland of Jeffersonville; son, Stephen Meeks and his wife, Victoria of Jeffersonville; grandchildren, Candida Taylor, Jessica Slaughter, Audrey Moreillon, Jeffrey and Zachary Meeks, and Amanda, Joshua, and Joseph Scantland; four great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be 2 PM to 6 PM on Friday, June 18, 2010 at Generations Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on June 19, 2010 in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at Generations Funeral Home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.
