Mary Ann (Chambers) Kruer, 83, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away at Baptist Health Floyd Hospital on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Church in Clarksville, Indiana. Mary was born on April 28, 1939, in Louisville, Kentucky, to James and Mary Frances (Luebig) Chambers. She worked at Greyhound Supermarket and retired from both The Galt House Hotel and Liberty National Bank. After retirement, she worked at River Valley Middle School in the cafeteria. At each place of employment she made many friends. She enjoyed seek and find puzzles, going to Mass and out to eat, and anytime friends and family came to visit, and nobody could read her poker face. She had a lifelong love and devotion to The Sacred Heart of Jesus and The Immaculate Heart of Mary and loved to watch Mass daily and pray her rosary.
Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Robert Francis Kruer; her brothers, William, Robert, James, and Paul Thomas Chambers; and her sister, Ethel Marie Young.
She is survived by her sons, Dan (Cris), Tim (Bonita), and Jeff (Sheilla) Kruer; her daughter, Leneita (Kruer) Jackson; sibling, Brother Richard Chambers S.V.D; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren that she enjoyed spending time with and loved very much.
Cremation was chosen, and a Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (316 North Sherwood Avenue, Clarksville, IN 47129) with Friar John Bamman to preside on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 12:00 pm with a meal to follow.
The family requests that contributions in Mary's memory be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society - Clarksville, Indiana.
