Mary Frances Harris

Mary Frances Harris (Haines) was born December 5, 1941 to the late Louis and Mary Haines in Louisville, Kentucky. Mary was the second of seven children and is preceded in death by her sister Cornelia Obannon and brother Louis Haines. She peacefully departed this earth on October 27, 2023.

Mary was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend who was always willing to do for others. She worked at Norton Healthcare for 25 years where she then left to follow her passion for retail and worked at Dillard's for many years before retirement. Often you could find Mary somewhere shopping, cleaning or watching one of her favorite sport teams when she wasn't spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her three children, Eric Harris, Pamela Ashby (Paul) and Kendal Harris as well as her beloved grandchildren, Miranda Maddox, Avery Ashby, Chynna Ashby, and Kyng Harris, great- grandchildren, Levon Blincoe, Lavontane Sarver and Jacob Ashby and siblings, Alice Starr (Gunther), Richard Haines, June Edison (Kenneth) and Elaine Haines, sister-in-law, Barbara Haines, along with a host of nieces and nephews and cousins.

We will be celebrating the life of Mary Harris on Friday, November, 17, 2023 at 435 West Oak Street, Louisville, KY 40203 from 6pm-9pm. Please come help the family celebrate her life. Pink was her favorite color so feel free to come dressed in pink.
