Mary Elizabeth Halbleib

Mary Elizabeth "Dolly" Halbleib, 87, of Lebanon Junction, formerly of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Mary's biggest devotions were her family, Church, and her animals. She was a member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church in Lebanon Junction, and a former member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, where she was on the Rosary Society. Mary proudly served in the United States Air Force. She trained and was a Registered Nurse at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and retired from there in 1995. Mary was a volunteer at the Louisville Zoo.

She was born on August 5, 1935 in Louisville, Kentucky to Leo and Christine (Groft) Halbleib. She is preceded in death by her Parents, and Brother, Herb Halbleib.

Mary is survived by her Sons, Robert Couvillon, and Todd (Lynnmarie) Couvillon, Grandchildren, Katie Couvillon, Collin Couvillon, Hayden Couvillon, Amanda Couvillon, and Megan Couvillon, Brothers, Leo (Mary Jean) Halbleib, Jr., John (Betty) Halbleib, and Michael (Kit) Halbleib. Mary also leaves behind to cherish her memory a host of Nieces, Nephews, Friends, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, at St. Benedict's Catholic Church (211 Oak Street, Lebanon Junction) with burial and Military Honors to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery in Louisville.
