Mary Frances (Hauber) Horlander, 69, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at the University of Louisville Hospital. She was a former employee of Floyd County Communication Action Agency where she worked in the Outreach department for nearly 12 years and Head Start for almost 24 years. She was involved in the Degree of Pocahontas Council #466, American Legion Auxiliary #1693, AARP, RSVP, and the Floyd County Democratic Women.
Mary was born on April 7, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Gilbert J. and Elenora E. (Beuther) Hauber. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Eldred "Dee Dee" Kintner and brother, Charles Hauber.
She is survived by her children, Kelly Cobb and her husband, Stanley, of New Albany, Jim Horlander and his wife, Cheryl, of Clarksville, Indiana, Mike Horlander of New Albany, and Melody Farrier of Clarksville; sister, Alise Martin of New Albany; grandchildren, Dennis Lynn, Jennifer Kaiser, Stephanie Criswell, Leha Simmons, Jessica Horlander, Whitney Jones, Heather Durbin, Phillip Floyd, Tyler Horlander, Shaun Horlander, Joshua Farrier, Jessica Capito, Madison Horlander, Ryeanna Westfall; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. .
Her Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
