Mary Elizabeth Fortune, 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.
She was born on October 24, 1952 in Saint Paul, North Carolina to the late Roy and Wilma Newton. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, Alan McDonald Musselwhite, Herman McDonald, Evelyn McDonald Owens, Dorothy Newton Wilkes, and Junior Newton.
Mary is survived by her loving husband, Herbie Fortune; daughters, Cynthia McCoy, Tammy Barrentine, Danielle Barrentine, and Victoria Fuentes; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel (235 Juneau Drive). A graveside service will follow at 2:30 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
