Mary E. (Jones) Collins, 65, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2012. She was an avid UofL fan that enjoyed all sports, especially football. She attended St. Thomas Moore gradeschool and graduated from Manual H.S. in 1964. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany.
Mary was born on January 3, 1947 in Ramey, PA to Lee Roy Jones and the late Julia A. (Ranish) Jones. She is survived by her children, Anthony Collins (Ginger), Dana Board (Michael), Christopher Collins; siblings, Carol Taylor and David Jones; grandchildren, Tyler, Seth, and Alexandria Collins, Andrew, Amber, Megan, and Brandon Board, Zachory Kessinger; one great-grandchild; and her faithful companion, Porkchop.
Her visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 3 at 12 PM at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 W. Daisy Lane, New Albany).
Memorial contributions may be made to Hosparus – the Hospice Community of Southern Indiana.
