Mary Jane (Smith) Cobb, 84, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018. Mary was a member of Chapel Hill Christian Church in Borden, the VFW Post 1693 Hobart Beach, and the Kentucky Colonels. She was a 1953 graduate of Georgetown High School and loved traveling, dancing, and sewing in her spare time.

She was born on November 9, 1934, in Galena, Indiana, to the late Roger and Iva (Heiser) Smith. Along with her parents, Mary is also preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Frederick.

Mary is survived by her sons, Jeffery (Brenda) Cobb, Harold (Kristine) Cobb, and Chris (Tonya) Cobb; grandchildren, Jessica, Matt, Patrick, and Ashlee; 3 great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathleen Scott.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - New Albany. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Borden.

The family requests that contributions in Mary's memory be made to Chapel Hill Christian Church.
