CHARRIER, Mary Helen Simms, passed away February 12, 2014, at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville, KY. She had just moved to Louisville from Hudson, FL, following the death of Lee, her husband of 41 years.
Helen was born September 14, 1923, in Brandenburg, KY, and was the daughter of Agnes and Charles Simms. She attended school at Mount Saint Joseph, a boarding school in Owensboro, KY, and graduated from Meade County High School.
Helen attended business college, and worked at General Electric as an executive secretary until her retirement in 1977.
Helen was also preceded in death by her son, Robert J. Bean. She is survived by her daughter, Pat Adams of Mooresville, NC., sister Alberta Belcher of Leitchfield, KY, step daughters Barbara Lee Smith (Fred) of Plymouth, MI and Diane Charrier of Ketchickan, AK, daughter-in-law Janie Bean of Louisville, 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
