Mary Ann "Sissie" Nord, 79, died on June 22, 2013. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany. Sissie graduated from Holy Trinity grade school and New Albany High School, and attended Spaulding University.
Sissie was born on April 22, 1934 in New Albany to the late Charles Patrick and Mary Agnes (McBarron) Marguet. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Margaret "Molly" Nord and sister, Margaret "Bebes" Marguet.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Robert L. Nord; daughter, Angela Marie Nord; sons, Joseph Charles Nord (Ann), Thomas Robert Nord, Andrew Patrick Nord (Laura); grandchildren, Samuel, Jasper, and Sebastian Nord.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church (415 E 8th Street, New Albany, IN) with cremation to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
