Marvin Hugh Posante, Sr.

Marvin H. "Marty" Posante, Sr., age 86 of LaGrange, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 10, 1938, son of the late Phillip and Rebecca Abrams Posante. Marty was a proud Army Veteran. He retired from Kitchen Kompact after many years of service. He loved motorcycles and camping. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jim, Jasper, David and Issy Posante; his sisters, Jane Wallace, JoAnn Knapp, Linda Peay, BeBe Kaelin, Patsy Berry and Betty McGraw.

Marty is survived by his son, Marvin Posante, Jr.; daughter, Bridgette Dunman (Len); grandsons, Jordan Hinton (Dezzi) and Logan Dunman (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Ayden, Rowan, Riley, Layla, Lily and Addison; several nieces and nephews; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Marty's life will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 21st at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, Kentucky at 2:30pm.
