Marvin Keith McCormick

Marvin Keith McCormick, affectionately known as "Peewee," was born on December 30, 1957, in New Albany, Indiana, and he departed this world on April 9, 2025. His life was marked by a vibrant personality and a deep commitment to his family and the things he loved most.

Peewee was a man of many passions, with hobbies that included fishing and golfing. He found great joy in watching professional wrestling and proudly embraced the title of the "King of Horseshoes." His unwavering support for the Washington Redskins showcased his spirit as an avid sports fan.

His greatest pride came from his family. Peewee was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Georgia McCormick, with whom he shared 38 wonderful years. Together, they raised a beautiful family that includes children, Susan Smith, James McCoy, Brian (Delynda) McCormick, Ladonna McCoy, and Jamie Wingler. He cherished the moments he spent with his 15 grandchildren and was also the proud great-grandfather to his 5 great-grandchildren. Peewee's love for his family was profound. He is also survived by his dear brother, Robert Chism.

Peewee joins in rest his parents, Henry McCormick and Irene McKinney Zoeller, along with his late son, Marty McCormick, and his siblings, Joan Jones, Mike McCormick, Jimmy Chism, and Carolyn McCormick, who have all preceded him in passing.

Marvin "Peewee" McCormick will be remembered for his joyful spirit, commitment to his passions, and above all, the immense love he bore for his family. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
