Marvin Rocco Jones

Marvin Rocco Jones, 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Rocco worked for over 30 years at Pillsbury in New Albany until his retirement. He was a co-pastor at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church in Jeffersonville. Rocco loved photography and was the owner and operator of Video Image Productions.

He was born on April 1, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Joseph and Dorothy Rose (Dejarnette) Jones. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jason Jones; brother, Keith Jones; and grandson, Gunner Baity.

Rocco is survived by his wife, Deborah (Wimp) Jones; children, Joseph Jones, Erica Jones, Shawn Jones aka Zamar Zimra, Sharra Hannon (Derrick), Jon Jones, Joshua Jones (Devon), Savanna Baity (Shannon) and Jacob Jones (Jessica); sister, Paula Jones; 16 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, 2017, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions – Southern Indiana Chapel (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Little Flock Baptist Church (3311 Holmans Lane, Jeffersonville, Indiana).
