Martha Rose(Popp) Weinmann

Martha Rose (Popp) Weinmann, 89, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in New Albany. Martha enjoyed working out in her yard and she especially enjoyed the time she spent with her family.

Martha was born on April 5, 1922 in Sellersburg, Indiana to the late Frank and Clara (Ehringer) Popp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James G. "Junie" Weinmann; siblings, Eugene and Walter Popp, and Helen Swank.

She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Kerberg (Steve) of New Albany, Claire Drury (Ron) of Louisville, Elaine Zipp (Rick) of Elizabeth, Indiana; sisters, Loretta Osborne, Aline Smith (Jim), Carolyn Makowsky, Patty Millman (Mike); grandchildren, Jamie Tretter, Joell Robbins, Steve and Mark Kerberg, Carolyn Zipp; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Katie Tretter, Lilly, Grace, and Jonathon Robbins, Kendall, Dannah, Kylie Kerberg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 10 AM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon on Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church (129 West Daisy Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in New Albany.
