Martha Patterson "Patty" (Balbach) Freudenberg, 88, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2022. She was a faith-filled person that enjoyed reading and collecting angels. Patty was a former member of Sellersburg United Methodist Church.
She was born on April 23, 1934, in Waukegan, Illinois, to George and Martha (Shewmaker) Balbach. In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Freudenberg; and son, Mark Freudenberg.
Patty is survived by her children, Martha Iddings (Bill), Mary DeGraeve (Don), Michael Freudenberg, David Freudenberg, Daniel Freudenberg (Kim), and Dorie Barnett (Butch); brother, George Balbach; sister-in-law, Janie Schafhauser; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest privately at Diamond Grove Cemetery in Jacksonville, Illinois. Contributions in her memory may be made to The Villages at Historic Silvercrest (c/o Activities Dept., 1 Silvercrest Drive, New Albany, IN 47150) or to your local Boy Scouts of America troop.
