Martha Lee (Missi) Engle

Martha Lee (Missi) Engle, 93, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was a long-time member of St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church and worked at Bruce Fox for many years. Martha enjoyed playing cards and dearly loved her family.

She was born on May 17, 1929, in Floyd County, Indiana, to the late Peter L. Missi and Idabell C. (Ackerman) Missi. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jacob M. Engle; son, James L. Engle; siblings, Maurice Engle, Marvin Missi, Ida Mae Kaelin, Donald Missi, and Robert Missi.

Martha is survived by her loving children, Kathy Potts (Roy), Karen Sheriff (Mike), John Engle (Chris), and Karol Kupper (Michael); daughter-in-law, Tina Engle; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Becht; and sister-in-law, Barbara Missi.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church (7500 Navilleton Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119) with burial to follow at the church cemetery.
