Martha Marie Atkins, 85, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Martha was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was born on January 3, 1937, in English, Indiana, to James and Joy (Johnson) Roll. She is preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Richard Longest; husband, Raymond Leo Atkins; 3 brothers, Wayne Roll, Dale Roll, and Johnny Longest; 4 sisters, Ruby Dowdle, Marsha Walts, Helen Lawson, and Nadine Ingle; and 3 stepsisters, Cleo, Nellie, and Cora.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Theresa L. (Stephen) Harpenau; granddaughter, Amy (Macauley) Miller; great granddaughter, Maggie Rose Miller; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Burial to follow at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Cemetery in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Martha's memory be made to St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
