Martha Ann Carpenter

Martha Ann Carpenter, 59, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2014. She was an emergency room nurse at Southwest Hospital for 33 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working crossword puzzles, reading romance novels, was an avid animal lover and enjoyed playing with her dogs, Rocko, Luna and Scar. Martha was also a huge NASCAR fan and loved watching her favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr., race.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delmer and Martha Shanks.

She is survived by her husband, Speed Carpenter; children, Ashley Carpenter, Jaime Roth and Nicholas Carpenter; grandchildren, Samantha Carpenter, Destiny Carpenter, Austin Carpenter, Madison Carpenter and Mason Carpenter; great-grandchild on the way and extended family and friends.

Visitation for Martha will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway) from 4pm-8pm. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 beginning at 10am at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel.
