Mark W. Jelenchick (Galligan Family)

Mark W. Jelenchick (Galligan Family), 72, devoted husband and father, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 3, 2022. He graduated from Michigan State University and was an active member of the New Albany Elks Club. Along with MSU Spartans, Mark was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers, Chicago Cubs, and Northwestern Wildcats. He enjoyed playing cards and trivia, as well as golfing and riding his motorcycle.

He was born on August 17, 1949, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Robert, Sr., and Helen (Yochum) Jelenchick. Mark is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Elizabeth Galligan; daughter, Jessica Ford (Allen McConnell); sons, Peter and David Galligan; brother, Robert Jelenchick, Jr.; grandchildren, Jasper and Liam Murphy; and mother-in-law, Karen Galligan.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
