Marjorie (Lindsey) Riggs

Marjorie (Lindsey) Riggs, 93, of Corydon, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. She was a former member of Walnut Street Baptist Church and the VFW Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was born on August 26, 1930 in Grayson County, Kentucky to Robert, Sr. and Dora (McGrew) Lindsey. Along with her parents, Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Riggs, Sr.; son-in-laws, Patrick Winn, Joseph Biddle; daughter-in-law, Carol Riggs; brothers, Delmar Lindsey, Robert Lindsey, Jr.; and sisters, Maybell Boyd, Nellie Bratcher and Hattie Mae Eldridge.

Marjorie is survived by her children, Patricia Winn, Coleman Riggs, Jr.; grandchildren, Shana Riggs Jones (Jason), Troy Biddle (Missie), Melissa Bowman (Paul), Michael Biddle (Jeannie), Heather Biddle (Brent); eleven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with her funeral service taking place at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
