Marjorie Stringer Cook

June 24, 1942 — August 8, 2022

Marjorie Stringer Cook, age 80 of Fairdale, KY went home to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer on August 8, 2022.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at the Chapel of Newcomer Cremations & Funeral Home, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY. Pastor Gerry Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11am until time of the service. Interment will be immediately following the service at Evergreen Cemetery.

Marjorie was born June 24, 1942 in Fairview, Tennessee, she was the daughter of Claude Clarence Johnson and Beedy Erlean Johnson. She was a member of Church of Christ , she attended Auburndale Church of Christ when her health allowed.
Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishments were her children along with all of their children. She loved most of all to spend time with her family especially her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband: Jimmy Cook, her son Kerry Wayne Stringer and her sister; Verilyn Love.

Survivors include her daughters: Tammy Stallard (Johnny) of Fairdale, KY, Robin Stringer of Dickson, TN; her grandchildren: Sean Neblett (Cheryl), Shae Tincher (Robert), Anthony Stallard (Beth), Bradley Stallard (Victoria), Amanda Hartman, C.J. (Christina) Hartman, Stephanie Hartman, Kenneth Waynick (Amber), Jacob Stringer (Chelsea), Sarah Stringer (Cameron). Great grandchildren: Kyndal, Kenlee, Braxton, Kailey, Branden, Stella, Riley, Kansas, Parker & Journey.

Her passion was watching the Game Show Network, Family Feud and going to church. She always loved her flowers and collecting angels. She also enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Sean Neblett, Braxton Johnson, Robert Tincher, Anthony Stallard, Kevin Stringer, Kenneth Waynick, Robert Fleet, Branden Tincher and Jake Stringer.
