Marjorie Fay Adams, affectionately known as Margie, was born on August 2, 1934, in Eagan, Tennessee. She departed from this world peacefully on November 12, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. Margie was a beloved figure whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many around.
Throughout her career, Margie was dedicated to serving others. She started as a PBX Operator in her early years and later retired from the Montgomery County Board of MR/DD. In her later years, she found joy working as a barista at Perkfection Coffee Shop in Jeffersonville, IN, where her engaging personality brought smiles to patrons each day.
Margie was known for her big heart and beautiful spirit. She loved sunshine, country music, and swimming pools, which added to her vibrant personality. Her family held her in the highest regard, often reflecting on the love and joy she brought into their lives.
She is survived by her loving children: Terri Galloway (Roger) of Arlington, Texas; Judy Loyall (Rick) of Louisville, Kentucky; Dan Neal (Missy) of Dayton, Ohio; and Greg Adams (Cheryl) of Batesville, Indiana. Margie also cherished her sister, Betty Everhart of Dayton, Ohio. She was a devoted grandmother to her grandchildren, Jason Caselden, Paul Michael Robbins, Justin Travis, Jake Neal, and Tommy Neal, and a doting great grandmother to J.J. Caselden, Alyssa Caselden, Gabe Robbins, Vivian Robbins, Kestin Travis, and Kimber Travis.
Margie was preceded in death by her husbands, Max W. Pickering, H. Dan Neal, and Paul E. Adams; her grandson, Roger "Allen" Galloway, Jr.; and her great granddaughter, Koltyn Travis.
Visitation will be held on November 17, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243. A Graveside Service will take place the following day, November 18, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N Valley Rd, Xenia, OH 45385.
Margie will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her loving nature and the beautiful memories she created with those who were fortunate to know her. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Margie's memory may be made to the Dementia Society of America or the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
