Marita Ann Hays, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024.
She was born on January 17, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Louis and Shirley (Fell) James. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Brad Christopher Hays and daughter, Renay Ann Mohammad.
Marita is survived by her loving family; her grandchildren, Haley (Zach) Ingle, Salem Mohammad, Ava Mohammad and Brad Vasquee, great granddaughter, Ameila Ingle, her siblings, Rosetta (Gary) Turner, Letitia Shawler, Louis H. (Joan) James, III, Dale (Mary Ann) James, Darrell (Betsy) James, David (Kathy) James, Roxanna Jonas and Jason James, along with numerous nieces and nephews that will miss her very much.
Marita retired as a Kitchen Manager from Jefferson County Public School System. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her birds and her dog Toni. Marita was a very crafty person; spending time sewing and ceramics. In her younger years she loved to travel, one of her favorite places was Alaska. Marita will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister who was loved by many.
