Marilyn Maye Waddle

Marilyn Maye Waddle 85, of West Point, KY, passed away on August 16, 2023. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Shepherdsville, KY. She met the love of her life, her husband, Preston, at the Blue Boar Restaurant. Marilyn's family meant the world to her. She was an avid Elvis Presley fan and even dedicated a special room for her memorabilia. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed shopping at Walmart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Parker Preston Waddle; parents, Morris "Short" Windfield and Rosy Nell Mann; grandson, Marvin King; brother, Arvis "Cowboy" Mann and her sister, Sarah Gore

Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Carolyn Guynes, Linda (Garry) King, Melissa (Joe) Ross and Raymond (Trinia) Waddle; grandchildren, Carrie Guynes, Paul Ross, Eric Guynes, Anthony King, William King, Jason Waddle, Tessa Waddle, Hunter Waddle and Tatum Waddle and 9 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 3pm-8pm. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, beginning at 11am at the funeral home.

Marilyn will be laid to rest at Cherry Springs Cemetery in Cub Run, KY at 1:30pm CST following her funeral services.
