Marilyn Joyce (Salesman) Farabee, 78, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. She was a life-long resident of New Albany and a member of Scottsville Christian Church in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
She was a loving mother and aunt, active in her church and belonged to several Bunco clubs. She was a generous care giver to an assortment of pets throughout the years. Her home was always open with love and affection.
Joyce was born on February 10, 1935 in New Albany to the late Robert and Sylvia (McCafferty) Salesman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Farabee; sister, Betty J. Copas; and brother, Donald Salesman.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy L. Gregg (Christopher); niece, Kathy Copas; nephew, Jerry Copas (Kathy); great-nephew, Spencer Copas; and good family friend, Judy McDaniel.
Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM on Friday, November 15, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday in the chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in Joyce's memory be made to Scottsville Christian Church (7857 Scottsville Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
